Rachel Hands

Director of Delivery and Operations

As a leader of distributed teams ranging in size from 4 to 40, Rachel has worked to create equitable, effective work cultures that enable employees to do their best work in support of the nonprofit organizations she’s most passionate about. At Now IT Matters, she brings that expertise to the way we work and to our clients via our Digital Guidance(SM) services.

As a board member of Amplify and leader of their Partners & Accomplices program, Rachel works to create an environment in which members of underrepresented groups in tech can become leaders in their field because better representation among leadership allows an organization to better serve those whose needs aren’t being met (and historically have not been met). The Accomplices program seeks out those who wish to act as allies to underrepresented groups and help them create strategies to advance them along the path toward advocacy.

Rachel’s background and education are in classical music, a field that taught her discipline, focus, active listening, and a drive to constantly improve. The arts play an integral role in shaping who she is and remain critical to her perception of the world.
