Tomas studied English Literature in college and graduated with sights on journalism or publishing. In one of his first jobs, he started working on a project to automate the publishing of content, and before he knew it, Tomas was acting as a Business Analyst. Enjoying the collaborative and analytical aspects of business analysis, Tomas went all in. He started helping financial start-ups gather and document their business requirements and then used this information to help rollout enterprise software solutions across the development lifecycle.
A move to Chicago coincided with a conscientious shift to work with a social impact organization. Tomas joined a nonprofit microlender whose mission was to help revitalize communities by providing capital to low-income and minority entrepreneurs. At NiM, he is excited about the opportunity to help other non-profits decrease their administrative overhead, focus on program delivery, and maximize their social impact.
When not working, Tomas enjoys spending time with his young son outdoors, rain or shine, as well as going on long bike rides in the surrounding countryside.
